Rogers Park - Community of Opportunity - Child Care
(10/1/1999-9/30/2002)
The partnership created new options for child care in Rogers Park (and Edgewater). Such options addressed the needs of the diverse populations (i.e. diverse economic backgrounds and schedules of hours). Partners complimented the work of the Early Childhood Network (ECN) convened by State Representative Carol Ronen. A 3-year project was funded by HUD’s COPC grant. This project assisted in needs assessment for Families Together. With ECN, CURL organized the Growing Your Child Care Business Information Fair on November 4, 2001, and produced and developed a health care guide. CURL also worked with the Women Business Development Center to produce a "model budget."
