Proviso East High School Health Center

(8/1/2000 - 8/1/2001)

The Loyola School of Nursing was awarded over $2 million from the Health Resources Services Administration and the Illinois Dept. of Human Services to develop a school-based health center at Proviso East High School in Maywood. The center sought to provide on-site comprehensive preventive and primary health care services to underserved adolescents. CURL supported the project by providing a graduate fellowship.

The school-based Health Center was established and continues to function as a resource to the students of Proviso East High School.
