Race and Eviction
(2019 - Ongoing)
We are working with Lawyers’ Committee for Better Housing (LCBH) to understand Chicago’s eviction crisis. Using mapping, quantitative analysis, and qualitative interviews, we have identified the communities hardest-hit by eviction and modeled the potential impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on evictions. We are also exploring racial disparities and geographic variation to inform LCBH’s mission of furthering safe, decent, and affordable housing in Chicago.
