The Burden of Sexual Violence in North American Muslim Communities
(2019 - Present)
Led by HEART, researchers on this project hope to better understand sexual violence, sexual health, and barriers to services in Muslim communities in North America. To accomplish this, the research team has distributed a survey (in Feb 2020) to anonymously capture the experiences and perspectives on these matters.
Data collection ended in 2021 and hundreds of responses were collected and analyzed. The research team is currently preparing manuscripts for publication to share these results widely.
