Bridges to Latino Health: ¡Sí Se Puede!
(01/2007 - 06/2007)
The Bridges to Latino Health conference run by the The Loyola University Chicago's Public Health Action Project, Graduate School and Stritch School of Medicine outlined the barriers facing Latino community access to health care and facilitated discussion of effective means to address these concerns. This conference was a two-day dialogue among the academic and health care communities and those affected by the failed policies of the past. This dialogue sought to develop partnerships that empower each community to bring about change.
CURL assisted with the conference by putting together a series of video-taped vignettes of interviews with Latino community members on the challenges they face in accessing health care and possible solutions to those barriers.
